Case Study Design: Centralised Slack Dashboard Concept

2020

As a subscriber of Adobe Creative Cloud I get notified of the Adobe live challenges that take place on behance. These challenges are hosted by a designer at Adobe who sets a design challenge. These challenges usually do not have a real problem at the core of the challenge and it is treated mostly as a design exercise.

I took part in this challenge to improve my Adobe XD and design skills. The challenge set was to design a dashboard. In order to give my design some direction, I set myself a scenario and problem statement to help with what the design needed to address.

My problem statement comes from my wish to save time in the morning when logging in and when catching up with messages after a break.

As a slack user

I want to see a centralised dashboard of all messages in all my channels

So that I can save time when I log in
